How do you make bebo skins using paint?

Open MS Paint (Microsoft Paint) and click on


Image then Draw Opaque





(Image %26gt;%26gt;Draw Opaque).





After that click on Image again then Attributes And type in the sizes you need, make sure it has Pixels checked, click OK





(Images %26gt;%26gt; Attributes %26gt;%26gt; Type in the sizes %26gt;%26gt; Make sure Pixels is checked %26gt;%26gt; Click OK)





Paint leaves you with bad quality but it does for a beginers. Your better with Adobe Photoshop or Coral Paint Shop Pro.

i have got macromedia fireworks and i want to make animated skins to upload on bebo ..because they are animated they come up with the fireworks png label and if i go on paint and change the file type to jpeg or gif it takes the animation away??!!

oh, all you gotta do is have a pain tprogram. Go to the thing on bebo that specifys the requirement for the skins. (I wish i could get them for you, but im at school...no bebeo,lol) but yeah, It'll be something like telling you how large the file should be and you make the different part of your profile, like the comment part, the falsh box, etc. All you need is Paint. I hope i helped a bit!

I think it tells you the sizes you need for the different parts of the skin on the 'skins' page (go to 'change skins', 'roll your own' and then 'read our skin specifications')





Then you either need to resize your images to these sizes, or select an area that size and crop to your selection. It depends on what image software your using how you do this...

Go back into paint and open up nav_bg for example. The go back to file and click save as. On the bottom there should be a box with something like '24 bitmap (.bmp)', click on the arrow beside it and change it to (.jpg) or (.gif). But the pic might go a bit blurry/lose some colour.

Well all the Bebo skins are made up from many different images that you have to upload and apply to your page. Bebo will do the rest. so, what your really looking for is what is a good image editing program to cut resize, change resolution, and create images. I use Photoshop and Fireworks for my images (which you have to pay for), but Bebo were kind enough to drop a couple of links at the bottom of the skins page for some free bits that can help you make graphics.

Once they click on "Change Skins" all the skins will appear so they need to click on "My favourite skins" on the top of the page....this will allow them to view all your skins and any you have created.

Hm... You can get Photoshop for Mac. Mac doesn't come preloaded with any high end photo-manipulation software, but you can download The GIMP, which works just as well as Photoshop and it's free. Google The GIMP for more info.





If you're just into basic photo editing, iPhoto is perfect for you, but it sounds like you're looking for hard core imaging editing.

To do that, after you upload your skins to bebo.com click "Edit Stylesheet" then the part to make the graphic float above is "padding top" and make that around 320 pixels - that should do it ;)

first off when i am using either photoshop or paint to make my skins, the colours are RBB style (say entering 206,230,240 for the colours) but when i am trying to come up with the same colour as a preset background colour it becomes, what bebo have set it as, 0000FF or something of that nature. Reply:I know exactly how to make bebo skins- on paint. when you go onto upload a bebo skin on bebo and it asks you to upload images you'll see something like 760x375, and then go back onto paint, and go to the top tool bar where it says file, edit, veiw format etc, and click on image, and then go down to something that says Attributes and then type the numbers on the attributes what the bebo page, it might say says and then design what you want, and then save it as an image say you had a picture of a dog and it was dog.jpg save it as dog.jpg and then u'll be able to upload it onto bebo. And do that with all the other skin things aswell.

2) Paint.NET http://www.getpaint.net/

to make your own skins you need a graphics program such as adobe photoshop or corel paint shop pro [paint would even do but the quality would not be that great].





there are instructions on bebo itself on what size they should be.

If you are using adobe photoshop CS3 you can do it by opening the "animation" pallete. Or in earlier versions of photoshop its done in Image Ready....

once you have uploaded everything, you go edit style sheet then it shows you the main section with the padding top cange that padding top to 375 then you should be sweet!

yeah i make them as well. you have to make the white bit in paint as big as it says ((eg. 375x40) they are hard to get right) then you upload you pictures (in the right size) and then you edit your stylesheet and there you are, finnished. if you need any futher help go on my bebo and i will make it even clearer and send you the template.

hi, i am currently trying to make bebo skins. I am using photoimpact 10 and i save the pics as .jpeg. When i try to upload them to bebo it tells me that they are not .jpeg at all. I am able to upload as .gif but this causes loss of quality. The pics are not animated either. Please help!!!

Hi-You should make sure that the problem isn't related to file size... You know how bebo has restrictions on how large a file can be. Try looking online for an application that allows file compression for jpegs... This may solve the problem. If PhotoImpact is causing a lot of issues, you can try Photoshop if you have access to it. One of the best applications to use to make skins is Photoshop (as I'm sure you know).





Or you can go to many websites that offer already-made skins... On some you can even request a skin... These may help you: bebostations and bebostylz.com, to name a few... On bebostylz.com, you can request a skin be made for you.

If it's just the standard Paint programme that comes with All PCs then just click - SAVE AS and then in the new window, where it says SAVE AS TYPE - Click on the little arrow and a drop down menu will appear. There you will be able to save it as a jpeg file or an animated GIF.

Sure there is. In fact, when in doubt, go look in Wikipedia!

However, you should note that all programs as complicated as these (not Paint) have a steep learning curve, so it'll take TIME, and lots of it. Personally, I use GIMP 2.0 since it has the most functions that I know of and is still free.

When i made one I just used paint because I'm too poor to aford photoshop. Anyway, it tells you what size each part of it should be. So when on paint, you have the white space where you draw and then if you look in the bottom right-hand corner there is the little square you click and drag that.


If you look in the very bottom right-hand corner of the entire window, there is a thing that says like "345x331" and you just move your mouse around until it is what size it needs to be for the part of the skin you are making.


Bebo tell you what you should save each part as, so you do whatever you want on each part and then save it.


That all


It sounds complicated the way I wrote it, but it is really simple when you come to do it.

make the skin - eg. file - new - 760 px x 375 px





then (if ur using photoshop) save to web


and change the file size so its appropriate





then go back to the bebo page, and upload the graphics.

then etc.

well you have to make a layered gif.





you create a picture with multiple layers and when you save DO NOT FLATTEN THE IMAGE. Save it as a gif and it will save as an animation. You can also change the timing between each layer and looping and stuff like that.

Once you've uploaded the graphics for the skin, go onto the "Your Skins" page and select 'Edit Stylesheet', after that scroll to where it says 'Main Section' and change the number in 'Padding Top'. I usually set it to somewhere around 200 but it differs. Just keep going and changing it back until its right.

Yup I sure do because I do mine.





First go to your profile and click "change skins".


Then on the bar at the top click "roll your own".





I then advise you to read the "detailed specifications". This will tell you how to create each image for the skin and which image is which.





It is very important that you keep the image names exactly as they say, same goes with the sizes. If these are not exactly as they state it will not accept them.





After you have created you images you come back to this page and then click "Add new Skin" and follow the instructions to uplad images.

Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop are probably the best programs to use.


If you go to the Jasc website you can download a free trial of PSP 7 and if you go into the 'roll your own' section of Bebo Skins there is also a list of programs there,there is one called The Gimp which is quite useful.Alternatively you could just ask someone else to make a skin for you,there are lots of people who do free skins on bebo if you're nice enough to them.

I am trying to make a bebo skin but i keep messing up the sizes, i have the pixles right , but i cant control the size of the file like the first one is supposed to be 10k, but when i make it on photoshop its coming out as 15.something k, is there anyway to mess with the size of the file??

I have noticed that some bebo pages have a large picture above the name of the bebo member at the top of the page.How do you do this as I cant seem to get an image to appear there.I am making my own skin but can't get this to work.

ok go to the roll your own skins pages.


Where the preview picture is, click on "3. Edit stylesheet"


Under the 'main section' section, go to 'padding top'.


Change that number. Depending how big this number is, will depend on how much of a gap is left between the bebo tool bar and the beginning of your profile text.


Play around with it until you get the right space for you.


This will bring your background image to the top with no text covering it.

you have to go 2 editstylesheet its whr if you go change skins then go roll your own you can see your skin where its says preveiw ect you will see editstyle sheet you can change colours for font background ect and also make the padding bigger where it says 5 make it 450 you can see design with out ryting all over it :) good luck

You can make it in paint!!! But it wont come out really nice! I recommend you to use Adobe Photoshop!





Anyway if you want to stick to paint,thats your choice. All you need to make skins is the graphics dimensions and sizes.To get them follow these steps.





Go on your profile,click the 'Change Skins' link.On the next page click on 'Roll Your Own'. It will explain how and what you need to make a skin.


Then click on the 'Check out the tutorial' link,you will get what you are looking for!!

Reply:to create a skin, you simply have to follow the skin guidelines set on Bebo. Download yourself a trial Version of Adobe Photoshop, at adobe.com , once its installed , follow the directions found here http://www.bebo.com/Skins.jsp . Make sure you're logged into your bebo account.





Its either you do that, or you go to websites like bebostylz.com where they take skin requests from users, or you browse and look through skins.

you cant make a bebo skin using paint... you have to use photoshop..on bebo, click on change skin, and then roll your own at the top, that will guide you through how to do it.
Reply:You can't really do anything in paint. Use The GIMP for windows if you can't afford photoshop. Its free and easy to use.





When you save images in the GIMP, you can change the image size by reducing the quality.

Once you have made your skins, there should be a few options that say whether you use it for yourself, or whether everyone can use it! You should have it set that everyone can use it! It's quite hard to explain, I really need to show you! If I didn't really help, I'm sure you will figure it out!

2-BUILD YOUR OWN SKIN is not that hard using microsoft paint you can have txt draw or paste in pictures








you could start of by making a mail skin which is easy


start with blank page in microsft paint click on attributes then set size draw or past what ever images you want or past then save it under the correct name as a jpeg file.





this tells you the sizes you will need and what you will need to save each file as.





main background





save as main_footer_bg





max size 12kb 572x200 pixels





its not a lot of file space so i kept mine blank it also makes it easier to read and went for a fancy mail header











mail header keep the left hand side plain as your details will be shown there





save as mail_header_bg





max size 7kb 572x70 pixels





then go on bebo mail, then skins then roll your own











Making your own main (this may take afew hours)








start with blank page in microsft paint click on attributes then set size draw or past what ever images you want or past then save it under the correct name as a jpeg file.











this tells you the sizes you will need and what you will need to save each file as.








Navigation BackgroundFile the top bar where all, whiteboard, photos etc is written








save as: nav_bg





Dimensions:760x40 pixels (Max file size:10KB)











Main BackgroundFile where your profile is

Dimensions:760x375 pixels (max file size:40KB)











Main FooterFile save as: main_footer





Dimensions:11x15 pixels Size Max:1KB the base line of your profile

Dimensions:20x20 pixels Size Max:1KB is buttons next to add skye change skin etc











Module HeaderFile save as: module_header





Size Max:10KB Dimensions:375x44 pixels the freinds and photos and rest top bar











Module BackgroundFile save as: module_bg





Size Max:10KB Dimensions:375x50 pixels the freinds and photos and rest top bar











Module LineFile, save as:module_line





Size Max:1KB Dimensions:32x3 pixels a thin line that divids comments left





then go on bebo change skin then roll your own to upload.
